FAQS

Where is JUJUHOME CHA matcha from?

Our matcha is sourced from a single organic farm in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, near the foothills of Mount Fuji, where tea has been cultivated since the 13th century. Grown without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, it comes from a single field, meaning it's never blended with leaves from other farms—resulting in exceptional purity and consistency. Our matcha is made from the first spring harvest, when the youngest tea leaves are at their most vibrant, producing a naturally smooth, mellow flavour with minimal bitterness.

What grade is your matcha?

It’s premium ceremonial-grade and organic.

What does your matcha taste like?

Our matcha has a smooth, creamy texture with natural sweetness, gentle umami notes and minimal bitterness.

How much caffeine does it contain?

Matcha contains around 35 mg of caffeine per gram of powder. Depending on how much matcha you use, one cup typically provides 35–175 mg of caffeine.

Is matcha healthier than coffee?

Matcha naturally contains antioxidants, including EGCG, along with L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes calm focus. Many people find it provides a more balanced source of energy than coffee.

Is your matcha vegan and gluten-free?

Yes. Our matcha is naturally vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free.

How should I prepare my matcha?

Read on JUJUHOME CHAPTERS.

Can I drink matcha every day?

Yes. Many people enjoy one or two servings daily as part of their routine.

How should I store my matcha?

Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep the tin closed tightly to maintain freshness.

How long does matcha stay fresh?

For the best flavour and colour, we recommend enjoying it within 1–3 months of opening. Unopened, it should be consumed before the best-before date.

Anything else I should know?

Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate to avoid delays. During busy periods (holidays or sales), delivery may take slightly longer. We're not responsible for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control, such as severe weather or strikes.

What's your return policy?

You may return most items within 28 days of purchase (in-store) or 28 days of delivery (online). Items must be returned in resaleable condition with all original packaging intact and any seal unbroken. You're welcome to open and inspect an item as you would in-store, but if it's been used or damaged beyond simple inspection, we may reduce your refund to reflect its reduced value. A valid proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Which items can't be returned?

For hygiene and food-safety reasons, we can't accept returns on our matcha tins once opened or if the seal is broken.

Sale items aren't covered by our voluntary return window, but your statutory rights still apply if an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

How do I start a return?

Email us at help@jujuhome.uk with your order number and reason for return. Once approved, we'll send you the return address and instructions. You can return in-store at our Hackney Wick location (bring your item and proof of purchase within 28 days) or by post.

Who pays for return shipping?

For change-of-mind returns, you're responsible for return shipping. If you'd like, we can provide a Royal Mail return label and a flat £2.99 return postage fee will be deducted from your refund. If the item is faulty or incorrect, we cover all return shipping.

When will I get my refund?

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 working days (your bank or card provider may take additional time to post it). We refund by your original payment method and don't charge a fee.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes — email us at help@jujuhome.uk and we'll do our best to help, depending on stock availability.

What if my item arrives faulty or damaged?

Email help@jujuhome.uk within 30 days of receiving your order with clear photos and a description of the issue, and we'll make it right.
